Whether you are looking to grow in your relationship with Christ or you have doubts and questions you are afraid to ask, groups are a safe place to make connections and explore faith.

Discipleship Groups

Discipleship Groups provide a deeper dive into building relationships as you study scripture and practice your faith. We believe that being a part of a group is one of the best ways to get connected and grow to be more like Jesus. Discipleship Groups meet weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly throughout the year. Adult Bible Studies

Adult bible studies are classroom style groups focused on learning scripture and applying it to your life. Typically, our bible studies’ weekly session includes a large group teaching and then a small group discussion with daily reading and reflections in between each session. You can join for a specific study, or be part of the group year-round.

Alpha Groups

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith, typically run over eleven weeks. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Alpha is run all around the globe, and everyone is welcome. That’s the key; Alpha is a safe place for anyone who doesn’t follow Jesus to process what they believe.

Hosting an Alpha Group

If you want to start an Alpha with Vancouver Church, you’re not a leader. You’re a host. And these are not lessons – they’re conversations with friends after a session already prepared for you. You just serve some food and hit play. It’s designed to be one of the easiest – and most fun – faith conversations you’ve ever had. As the group connects and builds relationships, the conversations will get even better. No pressure. Just prayer and an open heart.

Alpha is an honest and informal conversation about life, spirituality, and who Jesus was, without judgement or pressure. It’s open dialogue about your thoughts and questions without the pressured atmosphere that usually comes with these conversations. Each talk looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. Everyone is welcome.

Young Adults

As the name says, this is our Young Adults group and you’re definitely invited. We do pretty much everything - eat, pray, hang out, read scripture, discuss life and Jesus, sing worship, share stories, ask questions, play games - but whatever we do, we do it together. So let’s get you connected! Young Adults meets most Tuesday nights.

The MomCo

The MomCo (formerly known as MOPS) is a group of moms coming together to be real with one another. We believe that gathering together, sharing our stories, and walking through life together can bless not only us as moms, but our families and our community. Mom life can be hard, so at our meetings, you will find brunch, coffee, table talk, friendly faces, laughter, and hopefully a word of encouragement from the Lord. Whether you are a mom of a preschooler or a seasoned mom who needs some extra love and support, we would love to have you at our table. MomCo meets twice a month from September to June.
