VC Family,
God has written an incredible story through Vancouver Church. For over a century, we have witnessed His faithfulness as countless lives have been transformed by the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Today, I’m excited to invite you to join us in the next chapter of this journey—a chapter we’re calling Beyond Us.
Beyond Us is about making God’s vision our highest priority and trusting Him to do the impossible—in us, through us, and beyond us. It’s about reaching young people and their families with the gospel, serving the most vulnerable in our community and around the world, and multiplying churches locally and beyond.
We are committed to doing what it takes to accomplish our mission and vision. This includes improving our campus to better serve our needs, strategically adding to our ministry staff, intentionally raising up and engaging young leaders, and redoubling our efforts in giving and serving through missions.
Vancouver Church has long been defined by its generosity, and we want to pass this Christ-centered legacy on to future generations. We aim to be radically generous—both in our giving and in our love for the most vulnerable in our community and beyond. Together, let’s embrace this growth opportunity with joyful expectation, trusting God to move in powerful ways.

Goals
REFRESH
Our buildings were built 30, 40 and 50 years ago, and need significant updates to serve as a strong base camp for the next 50 years of ministry. Some high priorities include...
WEST ENTRY
Imagine our guests finding our front door with ease, and knowing they are in the right place. A clear and welcoming front entry will help our neighbors easily navigate our buildings. Also, new people will no longer wonder, “Is this a school or a church?” (While they celebrate both.)
OPEN LOBBY
We value intergenerational connection, and want to expand our lobby space to foster meaningful interactions between services and provide a clear, intuitive layout for all who gather here. With high ceilings and more square footage, this will immediately become a favorite space.
SECOND SANCTUARY
To expand our impact on younger generations we believe we need back-to-back Sunday gatherings with contemporary worship in our current auditorium. Therefore, we want to build a second worship venue to honor and strengthen our senior saints and our traditional worshipers. This new auditorium will provide flexibility for many ministry opportunities such as The Marriage Course, Alpha, and other vital ministries. This space will also serve as a launch point for future church plants and new ministry initiatives.
KIDS SPACE
At last, we will have a ministry area custom-designed to serve children and their families. Clear signage and easy access will simplify check-in and increase connections with guests. The refresh will morph our schoolroom design into dynamic, flexible spaces that will more effectively foster relational ministry intended to grow kids deeper in Christ… and in fun!
PHASED REMODEL
We plan to complete the remodel of our 90,000-square-foot space in three phases. Phase one, covering our top priorities, will cost $12.5 million. Phase two, which includes updates to the current auditorium and dedicated youth space, is estimated at $2 million. Lastly, Phase three, primarily focused on adult ministry space, is projected to cost $500,000.

This two-year giving initiative will move us towards our vision of reaching the next generations, caring for the most vulnerable, and multiplying churches by increasing staffing, increasing our missions giving, and remodeling our building to better support our mission to equip people to be with Jesus, like Jesus, more every day.
