Your privacy is important to Vancouver Church (hereinafter “Church”). To better protect your privacy, we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. Because your use of the Church website (vancouverchurch.org, and all other affiliated domains) (hereinafter “Site”) indicates your acceptance of the Church Privacy Policy, please review this Privacy Policy carefully. Church may change this Privacy Policy at any time.

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND US

Church is the sole owner of the information collected on the Site. Church uses this information to provide and improve services, contact users for feedback or updates, and send information about Church activities, events, or partners. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Church does not sell or rent personal information, nor disclose it beyond what is detailed here. Information is collected when you use certain Church services, like event registrations, online purchases, donations, and online forms, and includes personally identifiable details such as

  • First and Last Name
  • A home or physical address, including street name and name of city or town, state and zip code
  • Email Address
  • Telephone Number
  • Date of Birth

Church may also receive information from business partners. Once registered with Church, you are not anonymous, as Church also automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser including your IP address, Church cookie information, and the page you requested. Additionally, SMS opt-in preferences are offered when a mobile phone number is collected.

This information is used in ways Church determines appropriate in its sole discretion, and it reserves the right to do so. Church may use collected information to contact Users for a variety of reasons, including, without limitation, obtaining information from Users regarding their use of the Site and Services and ways Church can improve them, and to send information to them regarding Church, its Services, or its Partners, such as promotions and events. Church will not sell, rent or lease your personal information to commercial entities. Church may disclose personal information to our employees, independent contractors, consultants, ministry partners or service providers if the disclosure will enable any of these entities to perform ministry-related tasks on behalf of Church.

OPT OUT

You have the right to opt out of communication. Users may opt-out of via email at any time by emailing info@vancouverchurch.org or use the unsubscribe link on the bottom of our email messages. Users opt-out of SMS messaging at any time and are presented with opt-out instructions upon initial SMS Communication or further SMS communication by replying “STOP” to any SMS message. Users may opt out of physical mailings by emailing info@vancouverchurch.org or calling the church office at (360) 574-1611.

FINANCIAL TRANSACTION INFORMATION

Church requests information from a User on the Site if the User performs a financial transaction with Church. In this case, a User must provide information including, but not limited to, name, address, and financial information, along with credit card information or bank account information. Church uses a third-party intermediary to perform the transaction processing. This intermediary is solely a link in the distribution chain, and uses the information provided for the sole purpose of processing the transaction.

COOKIES

Church employs the use of Cookies to collect information about Users and their use of the Site, and to improve Users experience. “Cookies” are small computer files that Church transfers to your computer that allow Church to know how often you visit the Site and the activities you conduct while on the Site. We may use cookies to help you when shopping and to make your experience on our Site easier. We do not use cookies as spyware.

INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE

Church will not sell or rent your personally identifiable information to anyone. Church may send personally identifiable information about you to other companies or people when:

Your registration or account information is password-protected for your privacy and security. The security of Church account relies on your protection of your Church password, and your personal information. Any disclosure of your password to a third party may result in access to your registration or account information or execution of transactions. Church partners with PCI-compliant transaction processers who use industry-standard SSL-encryption to protect data transmissions of financial and certain other information. Church will never request your username or password via any email message or over the telephone. If you receive such an email or call, please forward the entire message or information about any call immediately to info@vancouverchurch.org. Never provide your Church username or password to anyone via email or phone.

PHOTOGRAPHS USED ON OUR SITES

Participating in Church activities implies consent for using photos of participating adults or minors on the Site. Personal information of photographed participants will not be shared without explicit consent. Requests by individuals for removal of specific pictures of themselves, or of parents or guardians for removal of specific pictures of their minor children will be honored upon request. Email info@vancouverchurch.org with your request to remove a particular photo and include a link to the location the photo is used on the Site.

GOVERNING LAW/ASSIGNMENT

This policy shall be governed by and construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of the State of California, excluding its laws relating to conflicts of law. U.S. law shall govern in any and all disputes, including privacy or defamation issues or otherwise. Any actions pertaining to this privacy policy or website usage shall be venued in the County of Clark.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

Church may amend this policy from time to time. If Church makes any substantial changes in the way it uses your personal information, we will notify you by posting an announcement on the Site.

Those within the European Union European Union may make a GDPR Data Request via our Connection Card at anytime and have the right to request and receive one free copy of all their data being processed. An administrative fee may be charged for additional copies requested by User. All requests will be addressed by the Company as early as possible and always within one month.

  • Subsplash is used to embed videos on this Website. These websites may capture browser and IP data, but are never passed additional personally-identifying data (like your name/email).
  • Planning Center is used to create the forms on this website, like the contact form. Only the minimum amount of data is gathered and stored to deliver service.
  • Google Analytics is used to install cookies and provide critical insight into our website visitors and their engagement within our domain.
