A Special Purpose

If you attend our church, you’re already a member of the Foundation, and you can support the Foundation’s purpose. This purpose is to maintain an endowment fund that will continually be used for complementing and enhancing the church’s ministries, activities and properties.

Funds and Usage

The Foundation’s principal funds come from monetary and non-monetary gifts our members (like you) provide, such as cash, stocks, bonds and real estate. Gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible and may enhance the value of your estate. The establishment of a trust to benefit the Foundation may also be a prudent step in your own income or estate tax planning.

It’s important to note that only the annual income generated from the principal is used to honor requests for specific projects and needs. The endowment funds will not be used for the church’s annual operating costs, and none of the principal will be spent unless an emergency threatens the church’s existence. Together these guidelines ensure that the endowment will provide lasting support. You can be certain any gift you give will be a continual blessing and affect many lives around the world.

Funds Example

Here’s an example:

If a $10,000 gift to the Foundation is invested at eight percent annually, the gift will yield $800 per year. After 20 years, the gift will have provided $16,000 to the endowment fund, and the original $10,000 will still be intact to provide for future needs. In contrast, the same amount given directly to the church for immediate use, would have shorter-lived benefits.
