Events & Announcements

The Church is closed on Friday, November 10 for Veteran’s Day (observed)

JOLT & PEP, for baby boomers/senior adults, monthly potluck and game night is Friday, November 10 at 6 PM in room 120. Bring a dish or dessert to share, and a table game. Park in the back of the church, and enter the building near room 120.

Church Entrances. In an effort to help improve the safety and security of our campus during our Sunday gatherings, starting November 12, the entrances on the North end of the building will remain locked. Please enter the building using the East bell tower entrance, the West family entrance, or the South church office entrance. Thank you for your understanding!

Feast. Middle & High School Youth will be gathering Wednesday, November 15 from 7-9 PM in the student ministries room for a Thanksgiving meal and special worship night. Middle School parents: note the gathering will end at 9 PM.

Friday Game Night. Grab your favorite board game and come for a​n evening​  of fun​ in the Fireside Room on Friday, ​November 17 at 7 PM. This connection event  ​is the perfect opportunity to get to know someone new over a friendly game. Everyone is invited. For more information, call Justin at 360-909-8806.

Gramma’s Bazaar. Shop from over 100 vendor tables at Women’s Ministries huge annual holiday bazaar on Saturday, November 18 from 9 AM – 4 PM in the high school gym. You’ll find one-of-a-kind hand-crafted items, and holiday gifts.

Surviving the Holidays. If you have lost a loved one, the thought of facing the holidays without them may cause you some anxiety or even dread. We want to invite you to an event on Monday, November 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Cost is $5 for workbook. Call Barbara, 360-546-3888, for the event location and to sign up.

45th Annual Singing Christmas Tree performances are on December 6, 8, and 9 at 7 PM and December 9 and 10 at 3 PM.  Admission is free! All donations received during the performances will benefit The Giving Closet. Be sure to pick up invitation cards at the Welcome Center today, and use them generously to invite your friends and family to this year’s event!




Opportunities to Serve

Beaches Restaurant Dining Day benefits The Giving Closet. Eat at Beaches Vancouver or PDX location any time on Thursday, November 9 and Beaches will donate 50% of your bill to The Giving Closet! Just tell your wait staff you are dining to support The Giving Closet.

Gramma’s Bazaar Helpers. Women’s Ministries is looking for helpers to set up the bazaar on Friday, November 17 from 3-6 PM. There is a free dinner for all set-up workers! We also need help on Saturday, November 18 from 6 AM to 6 PM; most helpers serve a 2-hour shift. Jobs include greeting, selling snacks & coffee, cafeteria/kitchen work, tearing down/cleaning up. King’s Way students can earn service hours. Men are welcome to serve too! Contact Annemarie Downey at or 971-533-0591.

Set-Up for the Singing Christmas Tree is just around the corner! Frame set-up begins at 6 PM on Monday, November 20, with both heavy and light lifting. Boughs are tied on at 8 AM, Saturday, November 25. Work clothes and gloves are recommended. Join us when you can! Call Dwight and Cheryl Kryger, 360-574-2612, if you have any questions.

Vancouver Jail Ministry gladly accepts your donations of soft-covered Christian reading material. The jail no longer accepts magazines. These materials help encourage inmates, and gives them positive and inspiring thoughts! Bring your donations to the church office, and place them in the jail ministry’s book receptacle.
