Events & Announcements

Communion Today. If you have put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we invite you to join us as we remember his sacrificial gift to every believer. The communion elements of bread and juice are gluten free.

Surviving the Holidays. If you have lost a loved one, we want to invite you to this event on Monday, November 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Cost is $5 for workbook. Call Barbara, 360-546-3888, for the event location and to sign up.

Middle and High School Youth will NOT be gathering Wednesday, November 22; Middle School Collective will NOT be gathering on Sunday, November 26.

We will be closed on Thanksgiving, November 23 AND Friday, November 24

Ladies Bunco Night! Monday, November 27 in room 120. The event begins at 6 PM, with time of fellowship and snacking. Bunco game begins at 6:30 PM and will finish by 8 PM. If you haven’t played Bunco before – don’t let that stop you! Just come prepared to have fun and win prizes, and bring a friend! Childcare will be provided. Each person is asked to bring a finger food/snack item to share. Beverages are provided. Call Mary at 360-949-3094 if you have questions.

A Night in Bethlehem. Friday, December 1 from 6-8 PM. Children’s Ministry invites families to an adventure exploring the city of Bethlehem. Guests will visit booths around the city, and enjoy hands-on experiences, crafts, and snacks—all while learning about Jesus! Admission is free. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required! 45th Annual Singing Christmas Tree performances are on December 6, 8, and 9 at 7 PM and December 9 and 10 at 3 PM.  Admission is free! All donations received during the performances will benefit The Giving Closet. Be sure to pick up invitation cards at the Welcome Center today, and use them generously to invite your friends and family to this year’s event!

The Giving Closet’s donation boxes were moved for drop off ease. You’ll find them located just inside the South and West entrances of the church building.

Opportunities to Serve

Christmas Wishes. Choose a tag from the Wall of Wishes in the church lobby today and return all unwrapped gifts along with the tag to the church lobby by Sunday, December 3. Questions? contact

Set-Up for the Singing Christmas Tree! Frame set-up begins at 6 PM on Monday, November 20, with both heavy and light lifting. Boughs are tied on at 8 AM, Saturday, November 25. Work clothes and gloves are recommended. Join us when you can! Questions? Call Dwight and Cheryl Kryger at 360-574-2612.

Serving Opportunities. There are many various opportunities for you to serve at Vancouver Church during this joyful season! We have roles that have you interacting with lots of people, and roles where you are more behind the scene. Opportunities to serve include the 45th annual Singing Christmas Tree, our Neighborhood Banquet, and our Sunday gatherings. Grab a tag or two in the church lobby today to help serve the hundreds of guests we’re excited to welcome on our campus this Christmas season! Questions? email

Vancouver Jail Ministry gladly accepts your donations of soft-covered Christian reading material. The jail no longer accepts magazines. These materials help encourage inmates, and gives them inspiring thoughts! Bring your donations to the church office, and place them in the jail ministry’s book receptacle.
