Opportunities to Serve
Love Thy Neighborhood December Spotlight – The Giving Closet. As the temperatures drop, the need for winter clothing increases dramatically. For the month of December, we will be collecting coats and cold weather gear for The Giving Closet. They are looking for coats, blankets, sweatshirts, gloves and hats. They don’t have to be new but they do ask that the items are freshly laundered. Donations can be dropped off in the wooden donation bins inside the main entrances.
Giving Closet • 2804 B NE 65th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98661 • 360-993-4800. www.givingcloset.org. For information on how you can help at The Giving Closet, contact email@example.com.
The Foundation Board has an opportunity for volunteers to score scholarship applications. If you are interested in participating in this highly rewarding process, contact Justin Riley at (360) 909-8806 or e-mail FoundationBoard@vancouverchurch.org.
Vancouver Jail Ministry gladly accepts your donations of soft-covered Christian reading material. The jail no longer accepts magazines. These materials help encourage inmates, and gives them inspiring thoughts! Please bring your donations for the Jail Ministry to the church office.
