Events & Announcements

Welcome to Vancouver Church. Connecting and building meaningful relationships is a huge part of what we believe in. We would love to hear from you. Please fill out a Connections Card, located in the seat back in front of you, and place it in the offering bucket.

JOLT & PEP. Baby boomers and senior adults are invited to the monthly potluck/game night on Friday, October 12 at 6pm in the fireside room. Please bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share, and your favorite table game.

JOY Fellowship, October 16. This monthly luncheon for senior adults typically gets together on the third Tuesday of each month from 12 noon-2pm in the King’s Way High School cafeteria. The cost is $6. You are always encouraged to bring a friend! This month, if your last name begins with the letter L-Z, please bring a dessert to share with others.

Friday Game Night, October 19. Grab your favorite board game and come for an evening of fun in the fireside room at 7pm. This is a connection event offering all ages an opportunity to get to know someone new over a friendly game. Everyone is invited! Questions? Call Justin at 360-909-8806.

Save The Date: Annual Adult Retreat at Cannon Beach Conference Center March 19-21, 2019. Registration begins January 6th.

Giving. Text any $ amount to 84321. Follow the prompts to set up your account. Giving envelopes and ‘Revive & Thrive’ envelopes are always available at the Welcome Center and in the church office.

Vancouver Jail Ministry gladly accepts your donations of soft-covered Christian reading material. The jail no longer accepts magazines. These materials help encourage inmates, and gives them inspiring thoughts! Please bring your donations for the Jail Ministry to the church office.

Opportunities to Serve

Love Thy Neighborhood Give 12 Campaign. Choose from the many tags still available in the foyer window, and bring the item(s) back around the 1st Sunday of each month for the next 12 months. Every month we will deliver your donated items to our local community partners: Arbor Ridge Senior Care Facility, The Giving Closet, Kleen Street, Sacajawea Elementary School, and Young Lives Teen Moms. Community Partner Spotlight October: Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Stop by the Operation Christmas Child display table in the foyer every Sunday during the month and select a free cardboard shoe box to be stuffed full of gift items, love, and prayers for children in need around the world. Durable plastic, pre-printed, boxes are also available for purchase; 2 boxes for $5. You choose the age and gender of the recipient(s). Gift item ideas and instructions are included in each shoe box. Samaritan’s Purse requests $9 be included per box for shipping costs. Then bring your filled boxes back to the church anytime during the month of October.
