Events & Announcements
Welcome to Vancouver Church. Connecting and building meaningful relationships is a huge part of what we believe in. We would love to hear from you. Please fill out a Connections Card, located in the seat back in front of you, and place it in the offering bucket.
Women’s Wednesday Evening Bible Study new series starts September 26, from 6-8pm in room 120. Need encouragement? Join other women for a study from 1st & 2nd Thessalonians called Children of the Day. Walk with Beth Moore on the Thessalonian shores as you face real crises, real medical diagnoses, real afflictions, real relationships, real doubts, real concerns, and real fears. Your circumstances and conditions are not coincidental on your journey. For more information or to reserve your workbook ($16), contact Nancy Standiford at email@example.com.
It’s not too late to join the Singing Christmas Among the Trees Choir! We practice on Wednesdays, 7-8:30pm in the fireside room. All singers age 12 years through adult who are looking for a fun and meaningful way to serve with their voices are welcome! September 30 is the last day to sign up. For more info, contact Terry Mendenall at 360-694-9760.

Pick up a copy of this week’s Prayer & Praise sheet from the foyer. It includes “Vancouver Church Family News” (i.e. births, deaths, memorial services, etc.) along with a list of staff, ministry partners, and prayer requests from our church family to be lifting up in prayer during the week.
Vancouver Jail Ministry gladly accepts your donations of soft-covered Christian reading material. The jail no longer accepts magazines. These materials help encourage inmates, and gives them inspiring thoughts! Please bring your donations for the Jail Ministry to the church office.
Opportunities to Serve
Love Thy Neighborhood Community Partner Spotlight September: This month we are collecting donations of ‘girly’ items for teen moms (ages 15-18). Young Lives, a ministry of Young Life, is dedicated to mentoring new teen moms as they navigate the journey of single motherhood. A Young Lives support group meets here regularly every month, and we want to bless each of the 15 teen moms with a fun, goodie bag; think nail polish, lip balm, coloring books & gel pens, hair bands, fun socks, etc. (these fun bags are in addition to the diapers and baby wipes the babies receive monthly from our Give 12 Campaign). Contact Dondi at 360-816-6932 or DondiTheis@vancouverchurch.org about community partner donations.
Giving Closet • 2804 B NE 65th Ave, Vancouver, WA 98661 • 360-993-4800 Bring your donations to the Giving Closet Monday-Thursday from 11am to 3:30pm. For a list of items we accept, holiday closures, and more, visit www.givingcloset.org. Research shows that people who volunteer live longer. To find out how, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
