Prophetic Training. Missed last Tuesday’s class? Join us today to learn the basics of prophecy from 3-5pm in the fireside room. Training is free! No need to register, just come to training.
VC Kid’s Camp Shipwrecked: Rescued By Jesus August 13-17, 6-8:30pm, for kids age 3 through entering 5th grade. Register online now at: vancouverchurch.org/churchevents. Cost is free! Spaces are limited.
Friday Game Night, August 17. Grab your favorite board game and come for an evening of fun in the fireside room at 7pm. This is a connection event offering all ages an opportunity to get to know someone new over a friendly game. Everyone is invited! Questions? Call Justin at 360-909-8806.
Singing Christmas Among the Trees. Choir rehearsal begins Wednesday, September 5 from 7-8:30pm in the fireside room. All singers age 12 years + are welcome. Pick up an info brochure/sign-up form at the Welcome Center today. Questions? call Terry Mendenall at 360-694-9760.
ONE Gathering. Join us as we gather as ONE body, at ONE time, for ONE celebration! On Baptism Sunday, September 9 we will have a single celebration at 10am, followed by an all-church BBQ. Mark your calendar now to enjoy this day with our whole church family!
Baptisms. If you are interested in being baptized on September 9, complete a Connection Card, marking ‘baptism’ on the back, or text “VCBaptism” to 97000. We will have mini-classes following each worship gathering on August 19 and 26. For more information, please email Amber@vancouverchurch.org.
Women’s Bible Study. “A Woman of Prayer” begins on Wednesday, September 12 at 9am in room 120. This new study offers principles, practices, and portraits in prayer. A refreshingly personal study for those in search of the God who hears. You’ll break into small discussion groups from 10-11am for personal application. A study guide can be purchased for $7 at the first class.
GriefShare©. A 13-week session begins Monday, September 17 at 6:30pm in the fireside room. Workbook cost is $20. For more information or to register, contact Barbara Waite at 360-546-3888 or email email@example.com.
Financial Freedom Class. Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) teaches you how to take control of your money and get out of debt. FPU presents practical, biblical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. It’s fun & entertaining! 9-week course starts Thursday, September 20 at 6:30pm in the fireside room. For more info, contact Gary Cowles at 360-907-3008. $95 per family. Pick up a copy of this week’s Prayer & Praise sheet from the foyer. It includes “Vancouver Church Family News” (i.e. births, deaths, memorial services, etc.) as well as, a list of staff, ministry partners, and prayer requests from your church family for you to be praying for during the week.
Giving. Text any $ amount to 84321. Follow the prompts to set up your account. Giving envelopes are available in the pews, at the Welcome Center, and in the church office. “Revive & Thrive” giving envelopes are also available at the Welcome Center and in the church office.
Opportunities to Serve
Love Thy Neighborhood Community Partner Spotlight – August. This month we are collecting donations of non-perishable, kid friendly, food items to stock the Emergency Food Pantry at Sacajawea Elementary School. Questions? See Dondi today in the church foyer after the gatherings.
Teach One to Lead One is a community mentorship program that teaches integrity, respect, self-control, courage, compassion, humility, and excellence to at-risk youth in order to lead them into a life of purpose and potential. We are delighted to have this Community Partner here today! Stop by their table in the foyer to learn more about what they are doing to impact Clark County and how you can join in their mission.

Vancouver Jail Ministry gladly accepts your donations of soft-covered Christian reading material. The jail no longer accepts magazines. These materials help encourage inmates, and gives them inspiring thoughts! Bring your donations to the Jail Ministry book receptacle in the church office.
