Welcome to Vancouver Church. Connecting and building meaningful relationships is a huge part of what we believe in. We would love to hear from you. Please fill out a connections card and place it in the offering bucket. If this is your first visit, please bring your card to the Welcome Center, located in the church foyer, after the worship gathering. We want to warmly welcome you with a small gift!
Middle School Youth Collective is going to Wild Waves Friday, August 3. We will meet in front of the King’s Way High School at 8 am and will return and be ready for pick up at 8 pm. Cost $25. Your student may pack food or bring money for concessions at Wild Waves. Register online!
KNOWN High School Summer Camp July 11-16. Our hope is that students realize their identity as a follower of Jesus; that they are a child of God, and they are KNOWN by their Creator! Get information and register online at: vancouverchurch.org/churchevents.
JOLT & PEP, our group for baby boomers and senior adults, is having the monthly potluck & game night on Friday, July 13 at 6pm in the fireside room. Bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share with others, and your favorite table game.
Annual Church Business Meeting and BBQ will be on Sunday, July 29 immediately following each gathering in the covered play area near the playground. This is a great opportunity to be reminded of all God has done here this past year, learn more of what’s to come, and share a meal with members of our multi-generational tribe. We’ll have an informational meeting next Sunday, July 15 at 12:30pm in the auditorium. Pick up a flyer with information on our new candidates from the church lobby today.
Prophetic Training. If you want to take the next step in your relationship with the Holy Spirit, grow in your ability to hear God’s voice, and be a source of encouragement to others, join us to learn the basics of prophecy Tuesday, August 7 from 6:30-8:30pm, and Sunday, August 12 from 3-5pm in the fireside room. Training is free! No need to register, just come to training.
VC Kid’s Camp Shipwrecked: Rescued By Jesus August 13-17, 6-8:30pm, for kids age 3 through 5th grade (grade this fall). The week will be spent focusing on the saving work of Jesus. Register online now at: vancouverchurch.org/churchevents. Cost is free! Spaces are limited.
Giving. Text any $ amount to 84321. Follow the prompts to set up your account. Giving envelopes are available in the pews, at the Welcome Center, and in the church office. “Revive & Thrive” giving envelopes, and “2018-2019 Missions Pledge Cards” are available in the church foyer as well.
Got Questions? During the ‘MORE’ series we will be studying 1 Corinthians 12-14 and realize this study may generate questions. We would like to give you an OPPORTUNITY to ask questions. Text VCQuestions to 97000 and “reply” with your question. Or simply WRITE your question on the back of a Communication Card and turn it in to the Welcome Center. We’ll put together a Q&A resource and answer as many questions as possible.
Pick up a copy of this week’s Prayer & Praise sheet from the church foyer. It includes “Vancouver Church Family News” (i.e. births, deaths, memorial services, weddings, etc.) as well as a list of staff, ministry partners, those serving our country, and requests from your church family for you to be praying for during the week.
Sign up to receive our weekly email newsletter, the Snapshot. We’ll send you a new video each week with the latest news, announcements, and events. Sign up on the bottom of our home page at vancouverchurch.org.
