Events & Announcements

Welcome to Vancouver Church. Connecting and building meaningful relationships is a huge part of what we believe in. We would love to hear from you. Please fill out a connections card and place it in the offering bucket. If this is your first visit, please bring your card to the Welcome Center, located in the church foyer, after the worship gathering. We want to warmly welcome you with a small gift!

Communion Today. If you have put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we invite you to join us as we remember his sacrificial gift to every believer. The communion elements of bread and juice are gluten free.

The Church Campus will be closed on Monday, May 28 for Memorial Day.

Café Connection Summer Location. Starting Sunday, June 3 you will find all of the delicious Portland Roasting coffee, hot tea, and ice cold water set up in the church foyer and not in the multipurpose room.

Middle School Youth Collective Parent Meeting Sunday, June 3. We’ll have a brief parent meeting in the student ministries room directly following the 11am gathering. All Middle School Youth Collective parents are welcome to join us and we strongly encourage parents of current 5th grade students to come, meet the staff, and learn what the Middle School Youth Collective is all about, as well as answer any questions you may have.

JOLT & PEP, a fun group for baby boomers & senior adults, monthly potluck & game night is on Friday, June 8 at 6pm in room 120. Bring a main dish, side dish, or dessert to share with others, and your favorite table game. You may park in the back of the church building in the North parking lot and enter the building through the door downstairs leading to room 120.

CLIMB Summer Camp June 28 – July 1. Middle School Youth Collective will be going camping, white water rafting and rock climbing! This experience is designed to take students to a place where they can unplug, overcome obstacles, try new adventures and get face to face with Jesus. More details, including a packing list, will be emailed to registrants prior to the event. Register now online at: vancouverchurch.org/churchevents.

KNOWN High School Summer Camp July 11-15. Our hope is that students realize their identity as a follower of Jesus; that they are a child of God, and they are KNOWN their Creator! Get information and register online now at: vancouverchurch.org/churchevents.

Opportunities to Serve

Love Thy Neighborhood Give 12 Campaign. Together we can make a tangible difference in the lives of the people who are served by our local Community Partners. Simply choose a tag from the windows in the foyer, and bring the item(s) back at the first of each month for the coming year. Each month we will deliver your donated items to the Giving Closet, Kleen Street, Arbor Ridge Senior Care Facility, Sacajawea Elementary School, and Young Lives. 1 tag x 12 months = the gift that keeps on giving!

The Foundation Board has an opportunity for you to score scholarship applications. If you are interested in participating in this highly rewarding process, contact Justin Riley at 360-909-8806 or email FoundationBoard@vancouverchurch.org.
