Events & Announcements

Welcome to Vancouver Church. Connecting and building meaningful relationships is a huge part of what we believe in. We would love to hear from you. Please fill out a connections card and place it in the offering bucket. If this is your first visit, please bring your card to the Welcome Center, located in the church foyer, after the worship gathering. We want to warmly welcome you with a small gift! Text VCConnect to 97000 for a link to our connections card.

Ladies, let’s play Bunco! Bring a friend and join the fun on Monday, May 21 in room 120. The event begins at 6pm with time for fellowship and snacking. Bunco starts at 6:30pm and will finish by 8pm. If you haven’t played Bunco before – don’t let that stop you! Come prepared to have fun and win prizes! Each person is asked to bring a finger food/snack item to share. Drinks are provided. If you have questions, call Mary at 360-949-3094. Child care is not provided for this event.

Go Ye! Missions Concert, hosted by our Traditional Worship Ministry, Wednesday, May 23 at 7pm in the sanctuary. This annual benefit concert supports our missions and community outreach ministry partners. All freewill offerings received at the concert will go towards computers and office equipment for Kleen Street, a men’s transitional home to help veterans re-establish their lives. Admission is FREE!

Café Connection Summer Location. Starting Sunday, June 3 you will find all of the delicious Portland Roasting coffee, hot tea, and ice cold water set up in the church foyer and not in the multipurpose room.

Middle School Youth Collective Parent Meeting Sunday, June 3. We’ll have a brief parent meeting in the student ministries room directly following the 11am gathering. All Middle School Youth Collective parents are welcome to join us and we strongly encourage parents of current 5th grade students to come, meet the staff, and learn what the Middle School Youth Collective is all about, as well as answer any questions you may have.

CLIMB Summer Camp. Middle School Youth Collective is going camping, white water rafting, and rock climbing! This experience is designed to take students to a place where they can unplug, overcome challenges, try new adventures, and get face to face with Jesus. Check in Thursday, June 28 at 5pm; return Sunday, July 1 at 12:30pm. Cost $185. Details, including packing list, will be emailed to registrants prior to event.

Giving. Text any $ amount to 84321. Follow the prompts to set up your account. For your convenience, giving envelopes are always available in the pews, at the Welcome Center, and in the church office. “Revive & Thrive” giving envelopes are available in the church foyer as well.

Opportunities to Serve

Love Thy Neighborhood Give 12 Campaign. Together we can make a tangible difference in the lives of the people who are served by our local Community Partners. Simply choose a tag from the windows in the foyer, and bring the item(s) back at the first of each month for the coming year. We will deliver your donated items to the Giving Closet, Kleen Street, Arbor Ridge Senior Care Facility, Sacajawea Elementary School, and Young Lives each month. 1 tag x 12 months = the gift that keeps on giving!

The Foundation Board has an opportunity for you to score scholarship applications. If you are interested in participating in this highly rewarding process, contact Justin Riley at 360-909-8806 or email FoundationBoard@vancouverchurch.org.
