Share a time when someone was extremely compassionate toward you. What did they do for you? Why do you think they did that? How did it affect you?

Read Luke 10:25-37 and as you discuss it, write down a few principles you draw from this passage of Scripture.

How is Jesus like the Good Samaritan in your life? Describe what it is like when you deeply experience the compassion of Jesus poured out on your life. How does that affect your compassion toward others?

What’s the most compassion you’ve had for someone else? What emotions did you feel, and what actions did you take? What drove you to care for them?

Do you struggle more with having too much compassion or too little compassion?

What can you do to develop a healthy internal compassion for people in deep need?

What action steps do you want to take to practice compassion for the most vulnerable? Who could join you in these action steps? Before you close in prayer together, set a timer for two minutes of quietness, and listen for any kind of prompting you sense may be from the Lord.
