• Take some time as a group to share 1 highlight and 1 disappointment from this past week.

• Open your discussion with prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to guide your conversation and to help identify how you need to rearrange hope in your life.

• Discuss the different ways that hope can be used, then ask, “How did Casey define hope in the sermon on Sunday?” (A: Hope – the confidence that the future is good)

• Read Proverbs 13:12 as a group. Discuss it’s meaning. Then ask, “What are some things in your life that you’ve put your hope in but were disappointed?” Have those who share explain their answer.

• What were some good things in your life that God wants you to enjoy with Him but do not deserve our ultimate hope?

• The Bible says that when we put our hope in God we experience joy, strength to endure difficulty, and confidence. Share with the group how you have experienced some of these outcomes.

• In Isaiah 49:3, God says, “…those who hope in me will not be disappointed.” How is it possible to walk through the chaos and evil in our world without being disappointed?

• How do you need to rearrange hope in your life during this season?

• End your time in prayer.
