Weekend Experience

Our weekend experience includes two different gatherings—and two distinct styles of worship—for you to choose from.

No matter what gathering you choose, you can expect friendly people, engaging music, and a practical, relevant message rooted in the timeless truths of the Bible. We warmly welcome your entire family, offering programs for children and youth. As a uniquely multi-generational church, this is a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can interact, share, learn from, and bless each other.

Styles of Worship

Here at Vancouver Church, we are privileged to have great teams that lead our congregation in two different styles of musical worship. We refer to these as Traditional and Contemporary. No matter what your preference of worship style, we know that our Heavenly Father is pleased when His children lift up His holy name together in unity.

For those who connect to God through music that reflects current trends, we have a fantastic contemporary worship team. On any given week we may have a full band with drums, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, keys, and amazing vocalists singing out in epic fashion to our big and amazing God. On occasion, we will also have a time of intimate acoustic worship, so that we remember that God often speaks to us, and moves us, with a still, small voice.

We believe it’s important to honor the traditional ways of musical worship (such as bell choir, large vocal choir, hymns, organ, etc.). Many believers continue to connect with God in a deep and tangible way through these art forms. Pastor Mark Kelly, the choir, and many talented musicians do an amazing job of keeping the spirit of worship, through traditional music, alive and well. This style of worship has, and will continue to be, a priority of Vancouver Church.
