Senior Adults

Senior adults have a vibrant community at Vancouver Church. They enjoy many opportunities for involvement, including the following events designed to get people connected:
J.O.Y. Fellowship Luncheons

On the third Tuesday of the month. J.O.Y. Fellowship (Just Older Youth) meets together for a luncheon featuring an interesting program. They enjoy talks and demonstrations from the Clark County K-9 unit, wood carvers, artists, authors, singers, WWII veterans, and even President Lincoln. All senior adults are invited. People are encouraged to bring a friend and share the fun. The meeting is held in the King’s Way High School Cafeteria at 12 PM.

P.E.P.

P.E.P. (People Enjoying People) meets for potlucks on the first Friday of every month at 6 PM in a member’s home. After dinner there is time of social interaction and games. Like J.O.Y. Fellowship, all seniors are welcome to attend.

J.O.L.T.

A fellowship group for Baby Boomers that meets for a potluck and game night on the second Friday of every month at 6 PM at Vancouver Church in Venue 120.

Senior Adult Conference

Our annual senior conference takes place on the Vancouver Church campus. In 2016 Church of God national Executive Director Jim Lyon was here from Anderson, Indiana as speaker. This retreat began over 20 years ago for our own senior adults, but has now become a popular event open to all Church of God congregations in Oregon and Southwest Washington.
